Akasya Central Park is the green center of the new urbanization that has grown up around the new shopping mall in Akasya, in the Asian side of Istanbul. In this part of the city, in recent years, a new road network and new residential buildings have been built, and Central Park is the “green lung” of the whole area that revolves around the new shopping mall in Akasya. SdARCH designed the public area in front the main entrance of the mall. This area is in the center of the new constructions but it is rounded by a ring of roads, so SdARCH designed a space where visitors can go and stay to relax themselves after shopping or to share the free time with others in a public space. The shape of the garden reflexes the same rounded lines of the whole project, and these lines become green circles and green rooms in the park.
